Claire & Jeffery, The Torridon, Wester Ross

We are very fortunate here in Scotland to be surrounded by amazing scenery and fantastic wedding venues, and today we were shooting in a stunning West Coast setting. The Torridon is situated at the head of a sea loch and is surrounded by spectacular mountains - it's absolutely breathtaking.
Claire & Jeffery's guests had travelled from London and the United States to join them on their special day and the couple certainly gave them a weekend to remember. The wedding day began with blue skies and hillwalking, sea kayaking and clay pigeon shooting, before everyone returned to the hotel to spruce themselves up for the ceremony.
Claire looked absolutely gorgeous and her handsome groom couldn't have been happier! After a lovely service they took the opportunity to explore the grounds (with us in tow!). The last time we photographed Claire and Jeffery was on the Millennium Bridge in London in the pouring rain during their engagement shoot. While that shoot was also great fun, it was fantastic that the Scottish weather delivered on their big day and we didn't have to get our umbrella out on this occasion!
After drinks in a very well stocked whisky bar the couple and their guests retired to the library for some very funny, and moving speeches, and an excellent meal.
We then dashed off to photograph the sun as it set over Upper Loch Torridon - the perfect end to a perfect day.

We received this lovely email from Claire yesterday:

"Hi Jay and Christina,

I just wanted to say thanks again for the amazing photos... By the way my favourite shot was the one of us on the steps, Jeff has got his arm around me and there is streak of sunlight on the mountain behind.

The activity shots were great too - especially the two you put on the blog, oh and we can't believe the number of clay pigeon discs exploding that you managed to get. The highland bull ones made us laugh too.

Also after being slightly nervous about the pre wedding photos they looked great too (I think the ones of me looking apprehensive and stressed are quite funny in hindsight), and I was amazed at the confetti shots. I didn't even think the confetti stayed around that long as it was so windy.

Hope you are both well and busy,

Claire"
