It takes a very brave bride to opt for a trash the dress shoot on a Scottish beach in October, but Mareike did just that. Having married the lovely Gary in July this year at Glenfinnan, she seized the opportunity to wear her stunning dress once more.
It was bitterly cold when we arrived at Cramond Beach this morning but Mareike was determined to go ahead with the shoot.
And despite the cold it turned out to be a fantastic day for a trash the dress shoot - blue skies, a beautiful breeze (when you managed to ignore the wind chill!), a fantastic setting and a gorgeous couple.
Both Mareike and Gary were fantastic to photograph - committing entirely to the shoot and following our direction to the tee, even when our requests did sound a little odd! Mareike also had some great ideas for photographs and her beach run inspired a whole segment of spinning and twirling shots. A very good way to warm up!
After the shoot we all headed into the warmth of the Cramond Inn and never before had hot coffee tasted so good! Then it was back home to start editing the photographs.
And here are a few of our favourites...Our thanks go to the kind gentleman walking by who lent us his beautiful black lurcher!

And here's what Mareike had to say when she saw the photos on our blog:
"Can't believe you posted the photos already! They're fantastic, we love them. Really modern and different. You're very talented! We can't WAIT to see the other photos now...
"I really enjoyed the shoot yesterday, it's actually ridiculous how much fun I had. Even Gary admitted it wasn't as bad as he thought it might be :) When we arrived back home I hosed my dress down in the shower, the sand just came right off it. It looks practically new now. So nothing stands in the way of another TTD shoot with you.. apart from the fact that Gary would probably kill me!"
