Raffaella is an Italian beauty and it therefore went without saying that she would make a stunning bride. She and Tim travelled from London to Edinburgh for their wedding, and with their warm personalities and impeccable sense of style we knew we were in for a fantastic day. Raffaella's only concern was that she would cope with the bitterly cold Scottish weather!
The day began at the Hilton Grosvenor in Edinburgh's West End where Raffaella, along with close friends and family, was preparing for the big day. And so it was that Jay spent the morning in a room full of Italian women (no wonder he loves his job!).
After photographing the bridal preparations we headed to Dalmahoy Country Club where Tim, his best man and ushers were tucking into a hearty lunch before being piped down to the church. It was a perfect December day, cold and very bright, and Tim's childhood church looked beautiful against the frosty backdrop.
Tim and Raffaella's guests had travelled from all over the globe to be with them on their special day and everyone looked fantastic in their elegant wedding attire. Raffaella looked radiant as she arrived at the church in her beautiful Italian gown and with flowers in her hair. And her young nephew did a fantastic job when it came to walking her down the aisle.
Tim could not have looked happier when he saw his bride and a very personal and touching service followed - in both English and Italian. After being pronounced husband and wife, the couple and their guests toasted the occasion with Drambuie - a perfect way to warm up! As the sun was setting we took some photographs in the very spot where Tim proposed before it was time to head to Prestonfield for the rest of the celebrations.
And what a party it was! Complete with hilarious speeches, an appearance from Santa, some excellent and enthusiastic dancing and the largest panettone we have ever seen!
We had a fantastic day and wish Raffaella and Tim every happiness in the world. As their guests said time and time again, they make a perfect couple.
