Zoe & Wullie's wedding in SWD

We still get a thrill every time we see our photos in print. So it was an exciting moment this morning when a loud thud indicated the arrival of the latest issue of the Scottish Wedding Directory.

This bumper issue celebrates the magazine's 15th anniversary, and the SWD team have really excelled themselves. If you're planning your wedding it's a great starting point for ideas, inspiration and sound advice.

This issue also comes with an extra 'venues' magazine. It features the wedding of Zoe & Wullie Campbell, which we photographed at Fintry Kirk & Monachyle Mhor in May 2009. It was a beautiful day (except for the weather - which was more atmospheric!), and seeing it in the magazine brought back lots of lovely memories!

We met up with Zoe & Wullie again in November for a wonderful wintry Trash the Dress shoot. Check out the photos here to see why a pair of waders was on Jay's Christmas list!

Claire & Andy's wedding in Real Life Weddings Magazine - Scottish wedding photography

The Summer 2009 issue of Real Life Weddings Magazine is out now and features the wedding of two very good friends of ours, Claire & Andy McIntosh.

We were honoured and delighted to oblige when Claire and Andy asked us to photograph their wedding. It took place on December 13th at Fingask Castle and was a fantastic day.

See our photos in Scottish Wedding Directory

The new issue of Scottish Wedding Directory is out now and features a number of our photographs. In particular, look out for our stunning bride Justyna in the feature on how to look good in front of the camera, on page 226.
Jay captured this moment as Justyna arrived at the church and was chatting to one of her youngest guests, who thought she looked absolutely beautiful.

Laura & Derek's Paisley Abbey wedding - Real Life Weddings

Back in April we photographed Laura & Derek's wedding at Paisley Abbey. It was a great day and these two were fantastic to work with.
We were really pleased when Real Life Weddings magazine contacted us to say they'd like to feature this wedding in the Winter 2008 edition. And we were even more delighted when Derek got in touch to let us know that they are expecting a baby next month.
We wish Laura & Derek all our very best for the future and think they will make fantastic parents!

Real Life Weddings Magazine

When Real Life Weddings magazine asked us to submit our favourite wedding photograph for publication in the next issue we knew we were going to have a very difficult time choosing!

We have photographed so many beautiful brides and gorgeous grooms, at such a variety of stunning locations, that trying to pick just one image seemed impossible.

So, we sat down and looked through the last 50 weddings we have photographed, and after a week we had managed to narrow our choice down to five photos. This was put to the public vote (i.e. friends and family were called in to help us decide) and finally we managed to all agree on our favourite photo.

And here it is...

Justyna looked stunning as she arrived at St Mary's Cathedral. Here she is being admired by one of the youngest guests who thought she looked absolutely beautiful. And so did we.

The next issue of Real Life Weddings is due out next month. Look out for a feature on another of our weddings.

Trash the Dress in today's Daily Record

An article in today's Daily Record newspaper features one of our recent trash the dress shoots.
The article 'What's your wedding dress doing?' looks at the growing number of brides who want to do something with their dress after the big day other than clean it, box it up and shove it to the back of the wardrobe!
This Trash the Dress shoot took place at a farm in Angus before our gorgeous bride Kelly decided to cool down in the River North Esk.
We'd like to thank Kelly for agreeing to appear in a national newspaper to highlight the Trash the Dress trend and for being such fantastic fun to work with!
As a life coach (lustforlifecoaching.com), kelly likes to do things that are a bit different and she is always encouraging her life coaching clients to embrace something new.
"I would encourage other women to have a go at this because it just feels so amazing and different," she said.
